Women prisoners of their husbands
“Women prisoners of their husbands” is the topic that I’ve illustrated for french magazine l’Express.Sadly, it’s a situation many women endure in France:
They can't use water or electricity without having the permission of their husband.
They are watched by the family members, often men or family members of the husband.
Sometimes, they lose their papers (passport, visa) and are expulsed by the authorities.
